TODAY-SUNDAY: Pleasant afternoon in store with a high near 68F. Not nearly as cold tonight along the beachs with a low in the low-mid 50s, but with much lighter winds in store, clear skies, and dry air in place we will be primed for a combination of radiational cooling and light drainage flow down the spine of the state. The coolest area might actually end up being inland down by (and south of) Lake Okeechobee. Sunday will be the warmest day of the week with a high near 70F.
MONDAY: No action in the rain or wind department as a 'silent front' drops south from Canada with Old Man Winter riding shot gun, with guns loaded, into Florida.
TUESDAY-THURSDAY: Tuesday will be the overall coldest with freezing temperatures pretty much everywhere west of US1 as far south as Lake Okeechobee.
FRIDAY-SUNDAY: Only a slow trend upward will the mercury go inside the thermometer. But the end does appear to be in sight, if for only a short time, to the much colder than normal temperatures we will have all of this upcoming week.
