Time for the Thaw To Slowly Begin Today

Show above is how we spent the day Saturday and Sunday here In Cape Canaveral :-)

Finally, it's going to start a VERY slow warm up today. As of this typing it is 37 degrees in Cape Canaveral, although last I looked Crestview was around 17F (does that place count as Florida though?). Today and tomorrow though we will inch ever closer to the 60 degree mark.

Then we'll be flirting with the upper 60s both Wednesday and Thursday. Than low 70s for Friday and Saturday. At least the sun will be out almost entirely though up until that time.

The fun part begins by late Friday as a surface low forms in the east Gulf with a nice 300mb jet in accompaniment which at this time we will be under the entrance region by noon Saturday. It appearances late afternoon Friday through mid afternoon Saturday to be our best changes of us being in at least a severe thunderstorm watch box...particularly from a Vero Beach to Sarasota line and points north.

We did get some sleet here on a number of occasions in Cape Canaveral on Saturday. What a day that was. One of worst in a many winters of recent years.
